There seem to be two interesting things about the cap, and they are what I think may classify it as mid to late war in manufacture. First is the metal cockade. I've read somewhere that late in the war the usage of embroidered insignia on Luft caps was switched to metal, as found on Luft enlisted. So, this may be a carry-over from the usage of an enlisted cockade. I have yet to see a period photo though that shows the usage of the metal eagle and winged cockade on an officer's peaked cap. Also, the vulcanfibre bill. It is not the common visor material on Luft officer's caps. But, again, latewar, I think that they were produced. I believe that I have seen a few photos of the vulcanfibre brimmed caps being used, though.

The Infantry Officers cap by EREL I posted early has the same type of sweatshield and the use has erased part of the logo and present the same type of stains that the one from François, I suppose that is easy to remove the logo with sweat.
AngelLooking for DKiG Heer winner Soldbuch who also won the TDB and/or CCC, specially in Silver.
