I beleive that this cap is overloaded with features, it's like saying, here, are you looking for this little detail, there you go, are you looking for that little detail, there you go and so on and so on. On top of it, to make sure it's extra convincing it gives you a "bonus" of a zigzag stitching on the reverse of the visor. Whoa, I'm original

          Collectors be alert!!!

And that ZZ stitching is the only seam which is made with a different thread!

                      Ahh ,that's different though..

                      Nice repro.. ,good one though..

The sickness of this all is that caps like this are made :

                      1. to deceive.. ( oh no ,you're wrong... )

                      2. we're making these for reenactors and museums..

3.Reenactors are so glad having stuff in the field that's 99.7 % like a original..

                      So,the're faking matches,soap socks,condoms,toothpaste,buttons,needles,laces,par ahelmets,toiletpaper,etc..'cause reenactors need the almost 100 % stuff..
Funny thing is that those same reenactors get burned with artificial aged goodies for their collection etc,etc...
it's a spiral...it don't match IMO ,collecting and encouraging the fake business to do a better job than before..
Oh hell ,what do I know...life is complicated..
I would've thought to get rid of them fakers instead of buying good and fake stuff of them.

Sorry ,little frustration came up...I've pills for that...

                      Jos.

                                Jos,

These caps are made to deceive not for reenactors. It is my understanding that this guy has been making on average 30 per year (maybe more)over the last say 10 years and they are slowly moving into the US a European markets. Not only enlisted caps but officers as well made from original doeskin/wool material etc, etc. in all branches of service, I have seen them hands on and they are very well done

As original material is getting harder to find these days it will hopefully make it harder for these creeps to peddle their wares to unsuspecting collectors in the future.
