Yes,there are Hcliffe....and their sewing doesnt' go thru the hem to the outer side of the earflap if that's what you mean...please remember that I've got three LW M43 and a WH one whose sewing goes straight thru the outer side and they're all 43435543%genuine!
Moreover....flaps may come and flaps may go....I seldom consider this the first thing to check, even if it's an important detail(funny how anybody tried to give an explaination to it and hasn't considered that M43s left the factory with a ribbon loosely sewn to them that had to be unsewn, put in the pocket or behind the earcover and should have acted as some sort of chinstrap in case of strong wind or foul weather !) and that should be made within certain criteria!

          Hi Manny,

The cap you posted is a reproduction. I am 100% certain of it. Please PM me if you want the details as I will not discuss it on an open forum.

Yes Manny, joking apart if you read through the lines in my first post you will see that I'm scared big time...the repros have become almost perfect having all the details needed. I can imagine a beginner collector what has to go through to get a decent item.

That's why I posted a few"important" details, a couple of "deceiving" ones and a little, yet nearly-always-missed one which is a"finishing touch" that can make the difference.........BIG TIME!

Seen in the flesh the cap is scary to say the least, and that's the only way to be able and thoroughly study it!My good friend has bought it from the U.K. and I hope he'll be able to get a refund!
