I'd like to discuss with you this M43 Einheitsfeldmutze bought last year by a friend of mine who now is asking my opinion about it .
The cap's cut is 103% spot on and from the pictures I've attached the most informed amongst you will surely recognize a few features which are not only desirable...they'd rather be mandatory
!I won't point them out here not to help fakers and improve their masterpieces but they should be quite evident

I've checked it over and over again and to be honest I haven't found nothing that could be defined a true "red flag" if not for the fact that the thread used on the whole cap is the very same but, to be perfectly honest, this alone wouldn't be a "red flag"either
!The color of the cloth this cap is made of is typical ofmid42/early 43-production tunics and cloth itself is in mint condition.The lining is made of artificial silk and has slight traces of sweat.It smells like the reast of the cap and hasn't any different scent to it so peculiar of artificially aged replicas!
The little cuts thru which the inner details appear weren't there at the moment the cap was bought,they were made later by the owner when I told him that a little"autopsy"would have been in order and would have definitely helped and he went all the way....broke a Katana out and stabbed the poor M43 to death

Whatever...now a few "innards"can be seen at least

This cap could make my friend "the proud owner of a mint early production M43 Einheitsfeldmutze",but I'd nevertheless love to discuss it with you!
I reckon that the pictures I've attached are enough to give the most of you a fairly good idea of what this cap's all about, but should you need more please ask!
