    cap

Looks fake to me--wrong materials and shape, wrong proportions, insignia looks bad, wrong construction for a Peküro, etc.

A very poor reproduction with the (classic) Latvian shape, material, size stamp and the ever present...name and unit markings!!!

Yep, I can smell it from here...Latvian shape all the way, poor insignia, and the printed tag inside almost ALWAYS appears in these.

P.S. That was not to say that the printed tag can automatically prove a cap wrong...but Latvian fakes are known for it

This is an outstanding example of an original Latvian fake. It has an overall appearance that is nothing like an original WSS visor.
These are always shaped like Soviet caps, they are always named, they all have faded maker labels and they have the insignia set on them that is nothing like original. Please look at the eagle's head. If you can't identify this Latvian bird you should forget about collecting SS visors. These are just a few of the problems, but all can be readily identified in pictures.
