    Looks like a black backed HG eagle post war applied to a standard single button luftwaffe cap,not sure if the eagle or the cap are original
    Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
    teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

      Looks like it could be a Helferin (female auxilliary) cap from the shape of the flap and short bill. A three-quarters view, side view, and interior view would help. The eagle looks like a good HG eagle, but it doesn't belong on that hat. If it is a Helferin cap, the Kokarde doesn't either.

        Looks like there is diamond shape under the bulls eye and trace of an eagle were the new insignia has been sewn. No doubt it's not the original insignia to the hat , you can see were the old pieces left there 'shadow'. Dave.

              Yep, the eagle, cockade are genuine, and the cap appears to be also, but they were not together during WWII.
