Looks like an original Heer officers M-43 and he accidentally added a photo of his KM tropical hat's markings.

I got this comment on the m43 cap

it looks to me like a post war cap that has added insignia possibly machine sewn to the cap through the big hole in the liner and the piping is not right very shinny metallic post war type applied in an atypical manner as well ,also the top panel is way to round

It could be interesting to explain how to stitch the trap from this lining hole.
I still believe it's a nice original cap.

It looks like the whole top panel piece of liner was removed and piping added,i dont care for the bright shinny piping
