Late War Schellenberg Artillery Officers Visor, Opinions?

I was very surprised when I picked this up at a local flea market. I was unsure if it was fake or not at the time but the price made it not matter. The more I look examine it, it appears to be correct. The gray sweatband really throws. It has a fine doe skin feel to it. It is practically mint minus some moth nips to the piping and one small pin hole on the top, it has never been worn. A previous owner colored in the white cord that is behind the red piping. The label does have DRGM within the label.

Hat is good, but the sweatband appears to be wartime replaced. Schelly's of this era usually had ersatz bands which fell apart quite easily.

On the inside of the sweatband it is dated 1944.
