    Generalschirmmütze ...Original?

My friend is buying, is the 100% original?

    #2
This one is fake, and was sold as such on the bazaar here on the forum short time ago.

There is someone here on the WAF who keeps buying reproductions of headgear and resells them on ebay/militaria321 etc.

Edit: Here's the link to the bazaar thread on this hat http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=566163

            That wreath is simply atrocious!

The chincord is about the only thing that is original!

It's a postwar BGS (German Federal border guard) general's cap with fake insignias. Shame, really - unmessed with BGS items are colletible in their own right.

                Well......

......It wouldn't be a bad idea to start back tracing these buyers, starting with the seller. There has to be a trail somewhere.

I have suspected that this activity, vis-a vis our Bazaar section, has been going on for quite sometime. However, since we have found out about one in particular, we now have the opportunity to expose one of these individuals.

@ Maximus999: Please share the name of this seller, so we can all benefit from it, and expose another wolf in the hen's house. This wolf even had the audacity to copy the images. Furthermore, this seller may just be running a scam, and doesn't even have the visor, but wishes to fleece your friend of some hard earned cash.

To me it actualy doesnt look so bad for a replacement of the original. Standard reproductions look like crap, but this one is quite modest. It was for sale on bazar, but was marked as sold. well after that if came up for sale on mil321
