I have just picked this up from a friend of mine who bought this for £60 a while back , it had imperial insignia attached to the front, up until recently he just presumed it was imperial until he found this under the sweatband ,, any opinions welcomed rgds Dave

Crefeld changed its name in 1929 to Krefeld so the cap is old

Thanks Ben, after Kraetzchen being mentioned i searched high and low for ss examples , i have dug out an early ss tk and placed it near the old insignia holes and voila rgds Dave
