The stamp appears to be a purple nazi eagle, but is quite faded. There's some lettering above also so faded that you can't make out what it says. The cap maker appears to be "Rud. Gutschke" and then below that it looks like "S>>>>amm" and a number.Originally posted by Leroy View Post

Hmmmmm..so we rip the Christian symbol cross off leaving only the prongs. We leave the eagle and dreaded swastika and the German national colors on. That is almost way too politically correct to be believable.
Cost of original WWII German chaplains cross for faded piping medical visor = unknown?
Cost of original prongs broken off something = free.
Very fishy...
