Thanks for posting your caps! The Luftwaffe Kaps visor has eluded me and, although my focus in now on Musician items, I would take the plunge in an instant for a Luft brother to these caps. Ben, that Pionier Kaps is just smoking!

Thanks Matt. Here are a few of a Paul Caps Kav which I once owned but fell victim to my divorce! My photo skills were much worse then, as was my equipment, and the background was cluttered, so these are pretty poor but may be of interest as that cap had a sweat diamond.

The wreath was not trimmed as tightly on this cap as the other two I posted, and possibly was a replacement.

And the sweat diamond. Although not in the most pristine condition, I sure wish I had this cap back, as well as a Kaps Infantry Officer's cap with leather visor, which also fell victim to a divorce divestiture. Unfortunately, the Infantry officer photos I no longer have thanks to a hard drive crash years ago. I miss these caps! Much harder to find Kaps now than it was 10 or so years ago, and when they appear, they get snatched up quickly.

You are right, those are all incredible examples posted in the other thread by the gentlemen you named. I hope you don't mind, Ben, that I repost (in blue below) some of your comments from that thread here, as they are both astute and worthy accompaniment to this thread also:

"JT said Kaps was the Rolls Royce of cap makers but I prefer to think of him as the Ferrari or Porsche of makers because his caps were stylish, light and sporty. Just look at the interior combination that he choose to use, black and grey, such a fashionable combination especially with just the embossed logo on the lining, a pure design classic. You only have to look at modern day clothing or interior design to realise that Kaps was truly at the cutting edge. Take the steel spring that he incorporated into his caps. Functionable and stylish at the same time. What other cap makers were doing this? none that I know of."
