RAD field cap

Hello ,

Her are some pictures of a RAD post 1940 EM fieldcap that i picked up for a great price at a show last weekend.does anyone else have RAD caps they could post pictures of?here is the first picture,this cap has 2 metal air vent gromets on each side,I believe they are painted zinc because one has zinkpest-

sorry about the poor image quality,when i shrink the images down my software distorts the image for some reason-

Hello Yancy, you've seen one of my RAD caps, here is the only other I have, which appears to be very similar to the one you have.. I don't know why it has a little FAD badge on the side, the cap came with it.

thanks for posting the picture!yes yours is indeed made by the same maker,the only difference is the stamp 541 compared to your 741,I am begining to believe a theory that i heard that the number before the year is the month of manufacture,anyone else have any thoughts/ideas about the stamps?the FAD hat badge is odd,i have never seen that before,im sure it was added postwar.
