    Waffen-SS M43 cap, green, w/exposed cardboard visor

From what I can see, this is a duplicate of the one that Perry FLoyd got from a veteran. This one was obtained from where it has been in a collection since 1970. I think the maker is the same as on the one Perry found. Surprisingly, this one has replaced buttons. (the other one was missing the buttons.) Enjoy, comments welcome.

I think the info appears to me- SS manufacturer code is 3042, date is 1944 and the storage depot is Habramag BrĂ¼nn in the Czech republic, Moravia area (today).

Billbert, may be, but I think resewn on. Not a big deal, just goes to the fact that this type cap came with badly sewn buttons that tend to come loose.

I mispoke on the buttons..indeed the buttons are most likely period,,The other examples where sans buttons when originally sourced...I believe All 3 examples either where found nearly new without buttons OR had the green composite/ersatz buttons..... JMHO Billbert
