      I'm sorry, 45 years!

Did you understand my point though? with 45 years of experience, you should really be telling us what is authentic or not and so far, you have failed, sorry.

Maybe I spoke out of turn. I'm just trying to help Sergio to help himself e.g post better photos etc but it's been a hugely frustrating experience.

The cap shape looks like a Kaps Visor.
the sweatband and liner looks well but it looks as if the silver piping in the selected area in a strong upward curved runs.
Possible that there is an optical deception !!
Better images of the capband area inside and outside would be help.
I think the General Kaps has a good chance.

                  Cheers Andi

you only have the years wrong, there are problems? I have not spoken of experience
you are an expert, but do not know an original Kaps? regards sergio

I can see impressions (lines) on the backside of the sweatband that SHOULD correspond to the lining attachment threads, but don't- not a good sign IMO!

Agreed--the sweatband underside reflects the common stitch method for Kaps, but alas, the threads do not.

This is the common Kaps stitch method--note the "mirror" of the stitching in the sweatband:

That's a great example above of what it should look like!

I will add one qualifier--it is possible that the cork (and thread attachments) were removed.
