Does anyone have a theory to explain why there seems to be less Waffen SS NCO visors than officer visors? Most did not survive battle damage?

Its becasue a lot of dealers and collectors have upgrade the nco to officers caps for the exstra money

My guess its 5 /1 and its shuldent be

Well, Turbo, I would think upgrading a Waffen SS NCO visor to an officer one is quite difficult to do since you will have to replace the black wool cap band with a black velvet band?

I think it has more to do with most NCO's actualy wearing their hats on active duty where as Officers probably had one or two hats waiting at home.

Anyway, most of the Officer visors I've ever seen come to market were obviously never bought or worn.
