You are an educated man are you not

Go research the historical reasons to use nursery rhymes then ask your self who carries the biased support of the moderators to necessitate that,

I must admit, it is far easier to find fault with this piece than redeeming value.
Well I can not believe that you have seen a cap with that type of grommet. Not common I agree but they can turn up in certain caps made before May 1945

So I suppose the lining in post number 16 is all wrong in terms of your experience as well

Please do tell what is wrong with the shape esp. if it is a cap made in the greater reich rather than just Germany itself

Since when did a lack of markings make a panzer cap or any cap for that matter make it a fake

And lets not forget that it is "devoid of insignia" and that makes it a fake even though there are clear signs of hanging threads and shadow from where the insignia once was. I suppose this makes all caps taken from POW's where they had to remove there insignia all fakes as well

With all due respect, these reasons are unbelievable for a collector of your experience and standing, "redeeming value" indeed.

We may as well stick with the kids theme on this one and quote the "Teletubbies" to sum up what is in your "three bags full" of panzer caps

again again............................................. .. again again............................................. ....again again............................................. ......again again !

I will help with the understanding, I bought this text book panzer cap I trust then I bought this text book panzer cap I trust again just like the last one I bought then I bought this text book panzer cap I trust again and then I bought this text book panzer cap I trust again and again and again................again................again !

Mean while I never got any variations from the norm or the text book because I never could not quite work them out. That sums it up.

Personally, I am of the same mind as Cliff and each aspect of this cap is worth investigation for example, the type of wool from which it is made before a conclusion is finalised,

Chris , you sure know the art of embarressing yourself. I still think you should spend the 25$ and become an association member. It seems you have so much to add and so willing to share. Jacques

Well if it is not too "embarressing" or what ever you mean then lets post some more images of this cap here for all to judge, shall we.

Hopefully, the satire will not be lost on you Jacques,

          Chris
