Well, you guys are the experts. Does this one have a chance? The grommets are magnetic. Strange thing is, the have no back up washers and seem to be painted brown under the black.

I guess no comment is better then everybody screaming "it's a fake"! I think it has a shot but not sure about the grommets. Anyone seen this type before on a panzer?

If you have a look at some of the recent threads about unusual tropical billed caps, then you will also see this type of grommet or someting very close being used. The feeling is that this was often done by maufacturers in the Third Reich but not necessarily Germany. More likely perhaps France, Holland, Italy or even Austria.
