    G'day Nick.

    A most interesting photo.

    Having noted the smooth, shiny buttons and possible piping around the tunic's collar and front, is there a possibility that this chap was in a landespolizei unit absorbed into the army. Like the early Regt Gen Goring personnel, he's added the new insignia to his police tunic and cap.

    Just a theory.
