    Logo'ed KM Visors

Does anyone else other than me have an aversion to logo'ed KM visors?
(I am excluding OKK or Erel or major maker visors). My take was that the vast majority of KM visors came thru the OKK, and were unmarked.

However, most you see on the market do have logos (which seems to be the rule for BRD-Marine visors). Here is what I am talking about:

Others commonly seen are Geiger, Scherff, etc. I will post 'em as I find 'em.

To me, only the first one stands a chance...

The logo on the first one does seem to match one in the pinned files of good ones.

As a possible correlation to your thoughts, Chris, my personal experience with KM officer uniforms is that at least 50% of the real ones I have handled or seen came through the OKK, which is an extraordinarily high percentage when compared to other services, and I would think caps followed that same very high general percentage (and perhaps even a little higher). On the other hand, every port (including the ones in occupied counties) had multiple naval tailors who could also provide caps, some made in situ but most probably supplied from outside sources. My best guess is that 15-20% of KM officer caps contain maker marks and that those marks run the gamut of makers, known and unknown. So...for every 10 KM officer caps you see, only 1 or 2 will have markings.

Same interior as Bill's NCO cap. M. Legrand and KM Spain can weigh in on this, but its not for me.

The logo in post #1 is actually a wartime example in my opinion!

Emil Scherff was in Roonstraße 84 in 1938/1939:

Roonstraße was renamed after WW2. So, when I see a Rheinstraße address, I think immediately post-war.

                              Best regards
