here is a white eagle Bergmuetze Model 1938 with Regiment 136 of the alpine troops, the regiment was nell'Adriatische Kuenstenland in Trieste, took part in the fight against Tito's partisans in Istria, These written can also be found on other objects of the Alpine troops

Another wonderful Bergmütze! I like the rounded end of the turn-down flap.

On another note...to the best of my knowledge, GJR 136 spent most of the war in Lappland/Finland until near the end when it was transferred to the Saarpfalz area of Germany. The 1. Gebirgsdivision was on the Adriatische Kuenstenland.


It's so interesting to see so many variations of this cap.
