Luft EM visor - Project Piece

Well, sometimes ya just got to take everything or ya get nothing, well here is one of those instances, picked up this pretty rough EM visor with a few other items the other day. Boy I just don't know what to do, it's a shame it's in this condition but after 60+ years of neglect what can ya do. Thoughts?

Generally I'd say $150 on the estand, however is the chinstrap SS?

Not sure on the chin strap, I'll have to pull the books and see.

Just looked, and yes I believe it is an SS chinstrap. The banding is black as well.

Fritz, anything on the back of the strap? Markings? Seems like the strap would be more valuable than the hat, lucky you.
