Feuerschutzpolizei (FSP) visor cap?

Hello,

According to the colors it seems to be a Feuerschutzpolizei, but is it? Is it a pre-1945 or post war?

Interior looks similiar to one of my pre-war gendarmerie cap, so I believe it may be a pre-war cap.

Your suggestions are welcome.

I don't think its an original wartime cap...looks like it uses a lining from an original civil cap...

Such lining was also used in police caps. Please have a look at the following (post no. 665):

I also enclose pictures of the interior of cap from my collection /the same maker and type as in post 665/.

It appears to be totally rebuilt - or something. There are too many things wrong with this cap to make a valid judgement of what it was intended to be originally IMO.

I don't like the profile...the black zig-zag thread bothers me...I would pass if it was offered to me. IMHO. Great to have a forum to discuss.

If FSP, the band should either be black (39-42) or brown (42-45). Band appears to be WH badge cloth, which would make it Veterinary or GS.

Is the band removeable?
