Gebirgspioniere Officer's Visor

Hi all - very slow on the collecting front for me this year (all of my spare cash has been going into my nice shiny new car), but decided to pick this one up from a forum member - it's an officer's visor for a Gebirgspioniere (mountain combat engineer). One of these has been on my wish list for a while, but I hadn't really found one I was happy with. The pins for the edelweiss do not go through the lining of the cap, though it looks like the bullion insignia was upgraded at some stage. No unit stamps. It has a nice shape, and the body is more of a lighter grey then a feldgrau.









Now all I need is an EM's cap to match

If that's 901 i see on the shoulder straps, then the tunic isn't connected to the cap.

Thanks guys - no the cap is not connected to the tunic - it's what I had on the mannequin at the time
