I would like to know if everything in this cap is ok. Insignia period sewn?

    Thanks for opinions

    It's marked inside Weissbach E41.

Yes; a shame about the removed (panzer?) soutache.

Good looking Weissbach with it's soutache removed according to regulations, which does not spoil it in my opinion. The eagle application is typical for this maker.

            Regards,

Or it was yanked post-war for a different “project”.

It had a panzer soutache. I will put the photo to see the shame.

Nice tropical cap with soutache removed, not DAK per say. Matt

Hello, the soutache was panzer one.

We'll never know...it could easily be one explanation or the other.
A great cap, though - nice to see the other insignia in place.
                      Regards,

A shame if that is what happened.

Beehive cap that has been stripped of its soutache ? Perhaps "for other projects". These get it from both ends don't they, soutache added or stripped depending on the need. Eagle and cockade are factory applied
