    Heer Infantry Crusher

I just picked this up a few hours ago at an estate sale - on 25% off day. The maker's name is completely obscured.

I call it a Crusher, but I think the situation is, when I bought it it as "Crushed", but when I out it in this hat form, it is just a regular visor. It looks like the chinstrap buttons had shanks, not the prongs I would have expected.

You can probably tell that I am not a hat guy, so bear with me and help me get a bit of an education.

No not a crusher as it lacks a flexible schirm and overall is too inflexable for folding together so you can put it in a pocket. Nevertheless a nice cap with character. I like it.

Thanks for the answers. I realized it wasn't a crusher and tried to edit the listing before anyone read it.

It's a very salty, commonly seen infantry EM/NCO contract cap. Does need a bit of restoration, but it's a good one to practice on

Any chance of finding a chin strap? I have a few original officer versions, but don't recall ever seeing any leather chin straps being offered.
