    Visor Cap

I have a chance to purchase this visor cap, but it's way out of my area of expertise. Is it original? Wartime, or post war? These are the only pictures I have at the moment. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It's for shure a good one, but from thies picture it's hard to say if it is a panzer or a artilery cap. The price is very diffenrent between each.

            Cheers,

              Hallo Chuck

It is original, wartime and IMO a panzer one

Only some minor damages to the sweatband and stirndruckfrei stitching with the peak.

This nice original hat belonged to a soldier of the 3rd Kompanie of the Panzer Abwehr-Abteilung 10 which was based at Straubing!

Many thanks to all for your comments. The seller has not placed a price on it yet... Can someone give me an idea of the value? Thanks again.

                      Matt,

The Panzer Abwehr-Abteilung 10 was not a part of the 10th Panzer Regiment but part of the 10th Infanterie Division.
These troops were always a part of an Infanterie Division and were called Kraftfahr-Abteilung before 1935. In 1940 they were all renamed to Panzerjäger-Abteilung.
And so we can say that this hat was made between 1935 and 1940, which also indicates the style of it of course.

With the very small peak (visor) and the high crown this is a very smart looking visor. It would look phenomenal displayed with a black NCO wrapper. Absolute one-looker!

First Schlientz WH visor I have seen. They primarily made civil/political caps.
