SS Officers sidecap

Opinions on this sidecap please, there are no insignia sewn on but it appears that there might have been some at one time, the lining is rayon and shows some wear and it looks like at one time there was a tag glued onto the lining.The piping is metal, and exterior wear is minimal.

ok thanks I thought it was an SS but luftwaffe is good to,what type insignia was sewn on this? was it bullion or a weave. and could someone tell me the value of the cap as is?

They exist in both enlisted grade insignia and bullion. If you are going to restore it I would suggested enlisted grade.
