It very well could be a Hoffmann, but it's not as flimsy as a Hoffmann. However, the example cap has key characteristics of a Hoffmann when I lay the two side by side.

Were all Hoffmann's "flimsy"?

Don't think they were all flimsy, only from certain productions. Materials changed.
