For starters the quality of the eagle is awful! Everything is wrong.

Agreed, the biggest red flag is the cap band which is not the proper type...
Also its badged as an officer candidate ....with enlisted insignia and yellow piping + officers cords and cap buttons,
a rare combination...
propably put together like this because proper leather EM/NCO enlisted chin straps are harder to find....
I find the blue color of the wool also to be inaccurate (but maybe its my monitor?)
and 9 out of 10 LW visors have green under the bill... this looks more like gray...again could be my monitor...
but its an odd duck and eventhough it looks old and damaged its not a genuine LW pattern cap.
