Gebirgsjager or Admin

I purchase this salty but repairable Visor of Ebay Germany a number of weeks ago. I did so thinking it to be an Admin officers cap as the pics then showed the piping to be a dark green.However on recieving the visor i was suprised to see it was a much lighter green and also had the origional Edelweiss that was removed from the cap and the outline is clearly visible.
I know many collectors would run away because this is damaged but i think it is agreat restoration project to undertake and not to many parts are needed to restore it.Its present state is uncleaned and i will be starting to restore it soon.

In my screen it look like a jeger cap.

But the cap looks like a Pekuro.
And the insgina/wreath looks like eReL.

It looks more like a Jäger cap, but the vented cockade do not fits to the cap, it's for an EREL.

My question is what to do against moths like on this cap?
I think one or two weeks in coolfold is not enough.
Did anyone has a special idea what to do against moths?
