Legion Condor Side Cap ?

Hello everybody!

This sidecap I got directly from a Legion Condor member who later served as an night fighter in the Luftwaffe. I had a few other things from him, but they were sold over the last month and years. Can anyone tell me what this exactly is?

It looks like a spanish officer's overseas. Three six-pointed stars would be for a captain.

yes . the legion Condor member bring it back from the spanish civil war, so its a cap from the franco troops, I guess?

As far as I understand, the legion condor troops wore Spanish uniforms, so if its an original Spanish cap, that would be ok for a condor vet.
