    Salty artillery alter-art cap

    Insigna are obiouvsly replaced...but what we have here we can call "alter-art" I think (despite being born with a plastic visor)...
    btw I'm not an expert and so here it is for your thoughts and knowledge...

                It came from a very obscure east-prussian retailer. I've searched the Allensteiner adressbuch but there was not a Waldheim in the Wilhelmstrasse.
                Please, can you decypher exactly the name?

                            The hat which started this thread looks like in might be a real "crusher"

                            The determiners are what the visor and band ( type of material the caps circumference) is made out of. Thus the hat can be folded in half to fit in a pack or suitcase.

                            There are perfectly legitimate crushers made with a " pressed paper visor " as opposed to the more desirable leather visor. The hat which start this thread looks like it has a "pressed paper" visor with a less common coloured underside,
