Agree, have been saying this for a couple years now. Noticed it the first time i saw the two grommet sidecaps. The Insignia application matches too. The green piped sidecaps without any grommets found in the beehive cache are also CW imo.

& agree the beehive caps are all tropical and are not DAK affiliated.

And a correction, the CW sidecap dated Jan '43 in post #46 clearly has a postwar rosa soutache added. Don't know what i was thinking at the time....

I do not think that I have ever seen the examples without any grommets Tim,

do you have any pictures of them that you can add to this thread ?
