I was asked for an opinion about tis cap...I do not like it at all but I'm not believed and I'm not a visor guy though....so here it is for your review!!

In my personal opinion, only a salty infantry boiled wool body. Why is your friend thinking about a crusher ? There is a chance that the insignias and the peak were simply replaced. As a first step, I will search for any evidence of a previous set of metal eagle, wreath & cockade.

Interesting cap. Better photos might help. The visor itself is unusual.


Of course each cap must stand on its own merits but I have seen numerous 'Alter Art' caps of later manufacture constructed with boiled wool fabric, with both leather and plastic visors, without chincords, with woven insignia, etc.

There have been multiple threads discussing these types.

I confirm my idea. The internal image number 10 shows a rigid cardboard, which contrasts with the purposes and the use of a real alter art. Is there any sign of the holes of side buttons? In this case it may be a fortiori an ordinary visor transformed (I do not know by whom and when) to look like a crusher.
