    Not looking good
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

Had that "Graves Registration Soldier" SS M43, to which you refer in hand and studied it in detail. One nice 101% original SS cap

Here is a two buttons example that I believe from the same maker.
It was for sale at Bill Shea's site some time ago.
I do not believe the last cap posted is real.
I can't upload the pics at the moment, will try later.

Some information about the history of this company:

In 1937 Johann Rittersberger, the great-grandfather of today's CEO of the Göttmann company, started with the production of caps and hats.

In 1957 Johann Rittersberger's heir Karl Göttmann founded the Göttmann company in Bensheim, an der Bergstrasse. It quickly develops into one of the leading specialists in the market of headdresses.

In the 70's, under the leadership of Hans-Peter Göttmann, the fashion orientation to the high-quality range was further expanded.

Finally, in 2001 Michael Göttmann took over the management of the family business.

Their current site and some more detailed information about them:

As they say, "buy the item not the story" but in the case of that SS M43 cap provenance = priceless and beyond doubt. Again many thanks for your confirmation at the time when others had failed to realise what they were looking at,
