M43 single button cap

I have a repro single button M43 from ATF. Has the SS-BW marking in the lining with SS insignia.

Question: How common were these caps? I mean, single button caps. I've seen mainly pics of double button caps with Heer and SS troops.

I imagine that these weren't just exclusive to the SS.

Can't speak about SS caps but they were highly unusual for Heer.
