Cotton Police M43 Style Cap

This cap is made from a polished cotton, inside and out. The insignia is machine sewn through the liner, and it has no markings other than the size. It had a grey leather partial sweatband in the frot, which is all but missing now.

Has anyone seen a lightweight cap like this that they consider original? Thanks for the help.

It certainly could be. No sweat diamond on it like most post-war police caps, but it could be post-war.
