    Medical Officers Schirmutze

Looking for some opinions on this Medical Officers visor. Limited pictures but hopefully enough. I'm not really familiar with the maker but the cap looks good to me.

    Thanks in advance guys.

One additional shot under the hood. Not really sure what I'm seeing here!

        Looks good to me.

The frischluft system is there but that wreath was added later.

Nice visor, I really like the shape. I agree with Kreager about the wreath. Could you clarify what you mean by "frischluft" system?

Sure, The Frischluft system allows "fresh air" to enter the forehead area of the cap cooling down the wearers head. In doing this there is a special wreath for this system, it has air vents around the perimeter of the wreath. These example can be seen using the search function and looking up "HPC - Hermann POTTHOFF " manufactured caps. The little flap part of the system could be folded over the vent holes on the inside, to close off the ventilation system from foul weather or cold air.

              Hope that helps,
              Matt

What a cool innovation! Thank you so much for the explanation Matt. I am rather new to collecting TR visors and still learning a lot.
