Strange Black M43 Cap

I recently picked up this cap but cant find another like it. It has 1 black painted button. It looks like it had a metal insignia attached to front. Also has a makers mark I cant really make out. Does anyone have a clue what this cap could be??? HJ, police, panzer?

Any help would be appreciated.

pretty sure that a post war button on the cap with the spit pins on the back

Anybody reconise the maker mark? I took a look with black light and it looks like it has an rbn number too. Perhaps a French made cap?

impression

The insignia impression is difficult to photograph but it allmost looks like a shield with eagle at top and a gear whell like a TeNo insignia. Could this be a TeNo hat? Isnt the button on front with split pins like the ones seen on many period caps with NCO side buttons? I dont think the split pins indicate anything post war...

Strange to me is the straps are buttoned on oppisite side [left over right when facing front]then most other caps. I have only seen 1 photo of an SD man with an M43 with oppisite side front overflap.

Any thoughts???
