                I had my doubts (about when modified) until I scrolled down and saw the period photo. Great hat with an excellent clear period photo showing the period modification...well done.

                            Its an original cap that has been postwar messed with , imo.

                              Alway's a tough call when modifications like this are done..Period photos show it was done on occasion or was it done post war when the insignia was removed.


                              The buyer has to make that decision.
