    KM white tope visor?

    Hi All,

    Can I get some opinions on this white top visor. I think its good but want to be sure.

    Thanks in advance!

    I think in my very personal opinion that the hat may have problems, the rank bullion work on the visor should be in the border of the visor reinforcement strip, something that long time KM collectors always have told me to look for in this type of hat to make out the diference from the post war ones.

    When I say "on the border" I mean almost without a gap among them...almost touching.

      Federico is right, IMO this one is clearly a fake cap , and for some constructions details I would say that this one is a Janke made.

          Hallo brannow

          This visor is a bloody fake

          Take a look to these threads:

          - Lw. Offz. marker Karl Meier Breslau, started by Z19 on 10.03.2007;
          - Staples, started by DougO on 12.23.2008;
          - SS white visor started by sscrooge on 03.22.2009.

          best regards

            Totally agreed km-spain! Kurt Meier was a real maker but Janke somehow came up with a fantasy label putting the company's headquarters to Breslau. This was even discussed here a while ago: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...+meier+breslau

            brannow, I think you may be right about the white top and the eagle but the base cap is a ground up repro...

                Kurt, about eagle I can not say good or bad only with pictures, but white top doesn't like me, I would say that it's also repro.

                        I'n not a fake cap! It's a Bundesmarine cap with fake KM insignias.
                        Worth around 25,-EU.
