    I agree with Richard on this and have handled more than a dozen veteran brought back Italian made eagles.

    The ones shown in this thread are not like any Italian cap or breast eagle that I have ever seen,

          Strange! I agree foreign made tunic and cap!
          Are those Army Lt. shoulderboards actually Waffen-SS types with black backed base? (or is it a shadow?)
          Foreign tailors in Holland and Belgium would have decent stocks of SS insignia
          for the Legion troops! (going with the lowlands theory)

            If it is an early picture, it makes sense to be from the Low countries, rather than Italy. What about the breast eagle? Jacques
