the cap looks to be an original with replaced insignia,the edelweiss is a Pre 45 piece ,its hard to say if its original to the cap i do like the way its sewn onto the cap but is facing the opposite direction that i am accustom to seeing on army caps

I like the wooden buttons, and the materials appear correct for wool and liner. This is obviously not an actual police bergmuetze, but mountain units also wore regular M43s, like this one.
