    HEER M43 cap fo review

    Hi, opinions welcome, please
IMO all looks good but not sure about insignia period applied ...

not really sure about the cap itself ,maybe i am overly skeptical with these dam caps so many have been made post war out of coats, jackets, etc
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

Indeed could be a good fake but could be also original by these pictures.
I would give an inspection before give the last word. Construction is wrong but could have a chance. IMO impossible to say by pictures in this case.

Cap is most likely an original (IMO), wool is missing it's nap probably from insect larvae grazing.

I like the cap, looks odd due to Italian wool used in construction, also few details are a bit different than in 'normal' M 43, but it is not a point...

How is possible that cap, used that much has that nice trap, stitched with almost white thread?

IMHO it was opened (liner has been ripped off), insignia were reapplied and than cap has been closed again(liner has been stitched again). What is more this sort of restoration explain one of details which are not proper.

One more thing, please take a look on M43 from this thread and compare condition of your trap to insignia which were period applied:

So do I and I believe it original to the hat.
