    Cap question

    Gents,
    Got this neat shot dated 3.6.45 and had never seen a white cap like this. Can someone please tell me which cap this is?

    Chemically bleached cap to make it appear more white than tan.

          Nice pic.

          The question I have is why would a soldier be wearing this type of uniform on March 6, 1945 or June 3, 1945?

          If a post war pic, he still wears the original insignia with swastika. Usually, but not always removed when a P.O.W..

            Often the inscription date represents the date the card was sent or given, not necessarily when the original photo was taken which could have been much earlier.
