Luft Tropical Trap Eagle and Two Tropical Cockades? - Need Help Identifying Them

Would appreciate your opinions on the Eagle and white colored cockades. The one bluish cockade looks like it is a perfect match to the blue Trap, but I was told it is actually for an early overseas cap.

The other white cockade looks to be from a Luft M41.

I believe what you describe as a light blue backed cockade is actually an early Heer example on woven light grey, intended for use on the sidecap.

            Thanks Mike -

Bill - The one on the right is the light blue one. Did you mean the one on the left is for KM tropical?

What about the Luft Trap, any thoughts on that one? It's definitely blue backed.

I agree that the blue/grey one is early Heer overseas hat cockade.
Billbert, not sure what kind of green KM hat you refer to; Coastal? If so, not sure I have seen that cockade on a CA hat. Can you elaborate?

Here is a pic from the Kurtz book with a cockade similar to Jeff's.

I was inferring to green KM ORs paris made (usually) having this as a variation cockade and matching embroidered eagle..here is a paris made tropical cap with similiar cockade..no doubt it may have been used with the luft cap eagle from grouping shown also..Billbert

Thanks Billbert, I have a similar cap but mine has all bevo insignia. Interesting.
Your reference to "green" confused me.

Harry and Billbert, thanks to both of you.

The eagle and the cockades were obtained together. So, in your opinions, could the Luft Trap and cockade be correct for each other?

Here is a photo of the reverse of the Luft Tropical Trap. It was removed from a scrapbook.

Don't know Jeff, could be. The Luft trap could have come from a Luft blue M41 sytle cap IMO. Not sure if they used the tan cockade with that.

Since they came together I don't see any reason the early Heer cockade on the subtle blue background could not be used with the Luft. eagle on a similar colored background for the same cap. It looks like a nice match.

Does anyone have a photo of Blue Luft M41 Tropical Cap to compare against?

One has never passed my way to view.

I have asked ebony to post some images so you can all see and add to this interesting thread,
