I think I have been around too long in this hobby--as soon as I saw the first pic, I said to myself, "thats a Welhausen", and lo and behold, my suspicion was confirmed (yes, I need ). Welhausen has some of the highest-peaked hats in relation to their "ski-slope" sides, and are know for their "fatman" chincords. Welhausen is one of the true unsung makers (they were also primarily a tailoring house, but also made hats on the side.)

Being a vet pick-up just makes it that much nicer.....
