          Happy New year.

Based the pics provided Seb is correct. I'm not judging the insignia, just the cap. We can start by the wear on the visor, a little much to start with. The liner material is also incorrect looking. Do you have any pics from behind the sweatband?

          Can you send it back?

                      ...really bad.
i don't understand why a not advanced (really advanced) collector try to buy the rarest of the rarest (coloured visors, officier, panzer)

Who you think you are ????? Are you felling like a advanced collector ???? Think before talking . You can be surprised !
This visor cap has been authentified by a militaria expert recognised . It's why I have posted it here . I would not say who for now since it's not the question! Visor cap makers was about 10000 during nazi periode. So you are very strong to know all of them fabrication . Don't see only what is in Book's. They are far away to be complet is this erea of visor caps.
And also , I am not a visor caps collector , it's not what I am collecting but I like them and would like to get a SS for my collection.

                        regards

It pains me to say this but I'm afraid many of these 'experts' authenticate fellow dealer's junk. I sincerely hope you can get your money back although it's of no consequence to me either way.

                          Good luck, Ian.

                            You got that right Ian.

If you are happy with your cap that's all that matters at the end of the day, but wouldn't you want a hat that can stand on its own and does not have to be deffended by a letter of authenticity from an "expert".

obviously, you are not able to authentificate by yourself this kind of cap.
                              i'm not able too.
but i certainly wouldn't try then to argue about its authenticity, neither to take the risk to buy one, just because an unknown "militaria expert" say or write it is ok.
that said, everyone can collect the way he likes to, no problem.
