TR OS CAP LUFT BLUE help please?

Hello all, been awhile for me to ask for help with a new purchase of cloth head gear.

Bought this just recently. Looks unissued but not mint. No evidence of badges applied. Color in photos almost correct. Light blue airforce I think.

Maker stamp reads:

1944
PETER

54

Thats all I can make out. I will research more when I get time. But for now just asking if it's original.

Another question I have is if it's real which looks like it might be. Was there a lot of unissued TR caps at the end of the war?

I think the cap is ok.Lining colour and material looks good and i like the false piping.

AS for unissued items, plenty were obtained as uniform distribution depots and warhouses were taken during the push into the Reich territories.

As for unapplied insignia, eagles are easy to find.Cockades are a bit harder but not impossible

Eagles average out between $30-$50USD and cockades similar.Always depending on condition.

The 4 might be a 1, just hard to read. And my camera can't take decent pics of maker stamp.
